Chances are, you have a few friends. A lot of friends will be willing to help you out. You just need to show that this method does actualy work.
You can do this by going to exceem forums and show the the large amount of users that have recieved their free gadgets. Some members have totalled over £10,000 and the whole community has recieved nearly £160000 worth of free gadgets!
Also, another method is to bribe them with drinks or sweets. But seriously, pester and pester your friends. They will eventually sign up. This system is genius. Referring X amount of people for a free item? what isn't genius about that?
Family
Getting referrals from your family should be the easest mothod of getting referrals. Just explain to them what it is you are doing and 99.9% of the time they will be willing to help you out.
The only catch with family referrals is that they must each be registered at a different address to you. The freesites seem to be very strict on this. Due to this it is best to ask your uncles and aunts, your nice old grandparents or any brothers or sisters living away from home.

If you are a keen internet social networkers you should definately give these sites a try. If you have a large amount of friends, it is worth you adding a bit of information about the offer to your profile, or add a bullitin. Don't mindlessly spam people as this will annoy them and then they may think it is fake and ignore it.
Advertise!
This about all of the advertising methods available to you. You can try using any of these to let people know that they can recieve these free gadgets.
The main two and easiest methods I would recommend would be to se business cards or small posters in local shop windows etc.
Business cards are a nice, non intrusive way of gaining interest. People can easily take them and put them in their wallets or pockets. People are then very likely to have a look at them later on. A couple of good printing sites include Printing.com and Vistaprint.com
The other method I would recomend would be to use small informative posters. Posters are a great way of generating interest if put in the correct location. I'd recommend putting them in your local community centre, village shop or post office. The should hopefull attract potential referrals for you!.
I would recommend using a publishing package like Microsoft word/Publisher to make your posters.
Build a website
As you are looking at my website right now, you can already see the benefit of this method. Make sure you make your website informative. Also, spend time on it, make it look nice! Quick hackjob websites that look ugly will just get discounted as a fake or spam, and you don't want that!
